Portfolio Review— My best and worst investments last year, lessons, and what’s next
This report gives members an overview of my investment portfolio and its holdings throughout 2024— the best and worst performers, lessons, and what’s next.
Hello, On The Money members!
Welcome to another edition of On The Money Investing. At the beginning of each new year, I like to provide members with an update on how my portfolio holdings performed in the year prior.
I’ll share which investments did best, which were a disappointment, any lessons I learned or changes I plan to make, and any additional factors or strategies I consider important, interesting, or valuable for our community.
After reading today’s edition, my goal is that you are inspired to do your portfolio review to make sure you’re on track with your investments or learn something new that you can implement going forward.
As mentioned in this prior edition, 2024 was a phenomenal year for the overall stock market. The S&P 500, Nasdaq, and the Dow were up 23%, 29%, and 12%, respectively.
Did my portfolio do better or worse than the market average? Which decisions am I most proud of? Did I face any challenges or regrets?
Let’s find out.
Note: All the stocks and funds listed below represent my entire investment portfolio.
Let’s start with the winners.
